12/10/2006 - "What Europe do we want?" Plan D Event, 7-8 October 2006, Brussels  [RealMedia 4'33"]
At an event organised by the King Baudouin Foundation, citizens from all 25 Member States met to discuss the overall question of "What Europe do we want?" and selected 3 topics for subsequent debates in all 25 Member States. Citizens identified those topics they found most important for the European Union to focus on in the future, selecting those that have the greatest potential and relevance for the national debates: Environment and energy; social welfare and the family; and Europe's global role, its external borders and immigration.

It's common to see colorful Christmas lights and decorations on downtown city streets and in Christmas markets in German Europe. However, the North American custom of decorating one's own house with Christmas lights and glittering decorations is still rare. But a few Germans and Austrians are trying to change that by introducing American-style Lichterketten and Außenbeleuchtung for private homes—in neighborhoods from Hamburg to Vienna.
